SwiftBrain (“the App”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our iOS app.

By using SwiftBrain, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the minimum information necessary to provide and improve your experience.

1.1 Personal Information

When you create an account or sign in, we may collect:

  • Email address — used for authentication, password reset, and communication.
  • Full name — used for personalization (e.g., greetings, profile).
  • Apple ID token (for Sign in with Apple) — used once for secure authentication.

1.2 User-Generated Content

If you submit community questions or other content within the app, that data is stored securely in our database (Firestore) and associated with your user ID.

1.3 Usage Data

We may collect anonymized analytics such as:

  • App launches, quiz completion counts, and basic engagement data
    (via Firebase Analytics, if enabled).

No personally identifiable usage data is collected without your consent.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information only for:

  • Creating and managing your user account.
  • Authenticating your sign-in via email/password or Sign in with Apple.
  • Displaying your name and contributions (e.g., submitted questions) inside the app.
  • Improving the app experience and ensuring secure operations.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your information is securely stored on Google Firebase (Firestore and Authentication) servers.
We implement industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS) for data in transit and rely on Firebase’s built-in security and access rules.

We also apply Firestore security rules to ensure:

  • Only authenticated users can read or write their own data.
  • User-submitted content is reviewed and moderated before publishing.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time from within the app (Profile → Delete Account).
Upon deletion:

  • Your authentication credentials will be permanently removed from Firebase Auth.
  • All user-related data (name, email, community questions, approvals) will be deleted from Firestore.

We retain no backup copies of your personal data after deletion.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Google Firebase (for authentication, data storage and analytics)

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally.
When we do, we’ll revise the “Last Updated” date at the top.
Material changes will be communicated via the App Store or in-app notice.
